MP's to take evidence on the Spending Review settlement

The Education Committee will hold an oral evidence session on the Spending Review settlement for the Department for Education on Tuesday 23 November at 9.30am in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House

Education Committee

This session will examine changes to school and non-school budgets and to local authority funding, the principle of greater service delivery through the voluntary and community sectors, and policy changes, including the introduction of a pupil premium and abolition of the education maintenance allowance.

A further oral evidence session with the Secretary of State for Education and the Permanent Secretary at the Department for Education will be announced in due course.
