Education Committee takes evidence on school accountability, qualifications and curriculum reform

The Education Committee will hold a one-off evidence session with the Secretary of State for Education, Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, on School accountability, qualifications and curriculum reform on Wednesday 15 May.

Purpose of the session

On 7 February 2013 the Secretary of State announced his proposals for the future of secondary school accountablity measures, qualifications and the national curriculum. The relevant consultation periods have just ended. This evidence session is intended to give the Committee an opportunity to explore the Secretary of State's plans and the response to them, before final decisions are taken on the three related areas.
