Catering Services in the House of Commons

The Administration Committee is to carry out an inquiry into catering services provided for Members, their staff, staff of the House and other users of the House of Commons.

The Committee intends to:

  • review access to catering and retail services, including considering opportunities to widen access to under-used services, and the risks and benefits that might arise
  • consult on what Members, their staff, staff of the House and other users of services need and prefer
  • consider the relationship between the House of Lords’ and the House of Commons’ catering services
  • consider how catering and retail services might be improved without requiring the expenditure of additional resources.

The Committee invites any individual or organisation with an interest in these matters to submit written evidence.  This should be addressed to the Clerk of the Administration Committee, House of Commons, London SW1A  0AA  and should arrive by Monday 11 October 2010.

Individuals or organisations are requested to write (guideline length up to 2,000 words) in a Word-compatible file by e-mail to ac@parliament.uk with a single additional hard copy in the post.

All submissions must clearly state who is the author is and whether they are writing as an individual or on behalf of an organisation.
