• Administration Committee (Commons)

  Committee considers the services that the House of Commons provides for Members of Parliament, staff and the general public

• Armed Forces Bill Committee

  The primary purpose of Armed Forces Bill is accordingly to provide for the continuation for a further period of up to five years of the provisions enabling the Armed Forces to be recruited and maintained as disciplined bodies

• Energy and Climate Change Committee

• Energy and Climate Change Sub Committee on Local Energy

  Sub Committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine local energy

• Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration, and policy of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and its associated public bodies

• Environmental Audit Committee

  The Environmental Audit Committee considers how well government policies and programmes contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development, and it audits performance against targets in those areas

• European Scrutiny Committee

  Committee assesses the legal and/or political importance of each EU document, decides which EU documents are debated, monitors the activities of UK Ministers in the Council, and keeps legal, procedural and institutional developments in the EU under review

• Liaison Committee (Commons)

  The Liaison Committee comprises all the chairs of select committees in the House of Commons, they regularly look at the work of their committees and decide which committee reports the House of Commons should be debating

  The Committee on Members’ Expenses is established under Standing Order No. 152G (as amended on 7 July 2011). Its role is to consider matters relating to Members’ expenses referred to it by the House

• Procedure Committee (Commons)

  Committee considers, and makes recommendations on, the practices and procedures of the House of Commons

• Public Accounts Committee

  Committee examines reports produced by the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) on his value for money (VFM) studies of the economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which government departments and other bodies have used their resources

• Public Administration Select Committee (PASC)

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to consider matters relating to the quality and standards of administration within the Civil Service

• Regulatory Reform Committee

  Committee scrutinises government proposals for draft legislative reform orders

• Science and Technology Committee (Commons)

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to ensure that government policy and decision-making is based on good scientific and engineering advice and evidence

• Scottish Affairs Committee

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Scotland Office and its associated public bodies

• Scrutiny Unit

  The Scrutiny Unit is part of the Committee Office in the House of Commons. It has a team of specialists who support the work of select committees.

• Standards Committee

  The Committee on Standards is appointed by the House of Commons to oversee the work of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards

• Statutory Instruments Committee (Commons)

  Committee responsible for scrutinising all statutory instruments laid before the House of Commons (its work is closely related to that of the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments)

• Transport Committee

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department for Transport and its associated public bodies.

• Treasury Committee

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of HM Treasury, HM Revenue & Customs, and associated public bodies, including the Bank of England and the Financial Services Authority.

• Treasury Sub Committee

  The Treasury Sub-Committee is appointed by the Treasury Committee to examine the work of the minor departments accountable to the Treasury and other matters referred to it by the main Committee.

  Committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine matters within the responsibility of the Secretary of State for Wales (including relations with the National Assembly for Wales)
