In February to April 2013, 950,000 young people aged 16-24 were unemployed, down 43,000 on the previous quarter and down 60,000 on the previous year.

The unemployment rate for those aged 16-24 was 20.5%, down 0.7% points compared with the previous quarter and 1.2% points lower than a year ago.
