Correspondence About Brecon and Merthyr Railway/Bute Dock Bills Part 3
  • Title: Plymouth Estate Correspondence 3

  • Date : 17/18 February 1864

  • Catalogue number : Glamorgan Archives DPL/821/26

  • Description :

Our group found correspondence in the Plymouth Estate collection held by Glamorgan Archives that showed Lady Windsor was active in opposing a number of bills that threatened her interests.  As well as the Bute Dock Bill, this letter, from Samuel Dobson to James Tomson, Lady Windsor’s Agent, shows that she was also opposing the Brecon and Merthyr Bill which was going through Parliament at the same time.

    Yours faithfully,
