  • Title: Notes by Lloyd George on the Budget

  • Date : 1909

  • Catalogue number : Parliamentary Archives, LG/C/26/1/2

  • Description :

Reading these budget notes it is difficult to ascertain whether they were made before Lloyd George entered the chamber or in the heat of debate. On this page at the very top the term ‘beginning to look silly’ is scrawled which tends to suggest he was becoming exasperated with views made in the debate that followed the speech.
